Frequently Asked Questions:
Who and what is QUANTUM Virtual Workforce?
QUANTUM Virtual Workforce is a subsidary of QUANTUM Staffing and Resources LLC and an Independent Business Owner (IBO) partnered with the Arise® platform. We connect motivated, skilled individuals with legitimate work-from-home opportunities for well-known brands. Our focus is on supporting our agents with training guidance, covered platform fees, incentives, and a professional community so they can succeed without the challenges of navigating the process alone.
What is a 1099 Employee?
A 1099 agent is an independent contractor, not an employee. This means you work for yourself and contract with QUANTUM Virtual Workforce to provide services to our partnered clients. You are responsible for your own taxes, equipment, and work schedule, but you also have the flexibility to choose the opportunities that best fit your lifestyle.
What are the basic requirements to get started?
You must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the United States, and able to pass a background check. You will also need a quiet, private workspace, a reliable computer, high-speed internet, a USB headset, and, in some cases, a landline phone. Certain clients may have additional technical requirements, which we will review with you during onboarding.
Do I need experience to apply?
Previous customer service, sales, or technical support experience is helpful but not always required. Many clients provide training to prepare you for their systems, processes, and expectations. We also guide you through the onboarding process to set you up for success.
What is the training process like?
Training is conducted virtually through the Arise platform and is client-specific.
Training is completed in three phases:
-
Phase 1: Virtual, unpaid classroom training where you learn the client’s systems, policies, and procedures.
-
Phase 2: You begin taking live calls while still in training. This is a paid phase, and you can start earning income while working toward certification.
-
Phase 3: Once certified, you are considered “live” and can service calls fully for the client.
How soon can I start working after training?
Once you successfully complete training, you can begin servicing calls immediately and start earning income. In most cases, you can begin working within a week after training ends.
How is pay structured?
As a 1099 contractor, you are paid per the terms outlined for your specific client. Payment is based on the number of hours or intervals you service. QUANTUM Virtual Workforce processes payments on a weekly basis via direct deposit.
Do I have to work a set schedule?
No. One of the benefits of being a 1099 contractor with QUANTUM Virtual Workforce is the ability to choose your own hours. However, all of our agents are required to schedule a minimum of 40 hours per week. How you arrange those hours is entirely up to you.
Will I be charged any fees?
QUANTUM Virtual Workforce does not charge a fee to apply. While the Arise® platform does have service fees, QUANTUM Virtual Workforce covers these costs for our agents. This means you can start working without worrying about platform access charges.
How do I get started?
Begin by submitting your application through our website. Once approved, you will receive detailed instructions on registering with Arise, selecting a client program, completing training, and starting your work-from-home journey with QUANTUM Virtual Workforce.
